Piedmont's rich and prestigious food and wine traditions stem from its various agricultural productions. Dishes are enhanced by condiments that are themselves considered specialties and traditional products from Piedmont: from the 'Bagna Cauda' with its triumph of raw and cooked vegetables and legumes, to the 'Cognà' or grape mustard used to enhance the flavours of the local cheeses; and then the 'Bagnet' and the sauces that make Piedmont's Boiled Stew the stuff of legends.
