Coste della Sesia Wine
The Coste della Sesia wine is produced in the hills looking out over the Sesia River,in the lands of some municipalites in the province of Vercelli and Biella.
The Coste della Sesia designation without vine variety specifications is reserved to the red or rosé wine, white wines produced with grapes grown in compound vineyards of the same wine manufacturer, composed by at least 50% of one of the following vine varieties: the Nebbiolo, Bonarda, Vespolina, Croatina and Barbera and for white wines, produced with 100% Erbaluce grapes.
"Coste della Sesia" followed by a vine variety specification refer as follows to wines produced with at least 85% of grapes of the corresponding vine varieties:
"Coste della Sesia" Nebbiolo or Spanna
"Coste della Sesia" Vespolina
"Coste della Sesia" Uva rara or Bonarda
"Coste della Sesia" Croatina.
