Carema Wine

DOC

Icon
This wine is produced with grapes of the Nebbiolo cultivar, at the extreme north of the Province of Turin in the municipality after which it was named.
The vineyards of the Carema valley are situated on terraces dug into the rocks on the slopes of Mount Maletto from 350 to 700 m above sea level; the landscape is characterised by pergolas supported by pillars in the shape of cut cones, made of stone.

At night, precisely the stones of these pillars release the warmth accumulated in the daytime and determine the excellent conditions for the cultivations.

Carema wine is red, tending towards garnet, and has a refined characteristic perfume that recalls macerated roses and a soft, velvety and well-structured taste. Ageing must last at least 3 years, out of which 2 in wooden barrels.
