The leaves are broad and upright, big, and with central ribs that are an intense yellow-gold in colour. The high density of the cultivation determines a natural blanching of the edible tissue, conferring excellent organoleptic features.
Two types of golden celery are cultivated, the Giuseppe and Rissone that differ in the central bunch which has few leaves of the Rissone variety. The weight of a bunch is about 1-1.5 kg/head. Top quality, good aroma and scarce fibrosity.
