“PiemonteIS – Eccellenza Piemonte” for the promotion of quality agri-food

“PiemonteIS - Eccellenza Piemonte” is the new brand that the Piedmont Region has chosen to promote the identity of a territory that has always had a vocation for agri-food and to introduce consumers to the extraordinary excellence of a supply chain characterized by high-quality production, formidable in its entrepreneurial capacity but not yet fully perceived at an international level.

The word has a double linguistic meaning: in the Piedmontese language, “PiemonteIS” is the adjective that indicates what belongs to Piedmont, and therefore underlines the link with the local culture, the land and the people who live and work there; read in English as “PiemonteIS” it opens up to international communication, leaving the sentence hanging to be completed with the values that define Piedmont. “Eccellenza Piemonte” instead underlines the solidity and authority not only of products, but of a system made up of short supply chains, virtuous producers, environmental sustainability and protection of biodiversity. So, much more than a visual brand: a declaration of identity that plays skillfully between locality and globality, between Piedmontese language and international language, to tell a system that unites tradition, territory and innovation looking to the future.

The “PiemonteIS – Eccellenza Piemonte” brand will accompany the activities of the Piedmont Region in the promotion and enhancement of its complex agri-food system, in which the 14 DOP, 9 IGP, 19 DOCG wines, 41 DOC wines, 345 Traditional agri-food products and over 700 mountain producers stand out, thanks to the work of approximately 45,000 agricultural companies, of which 2,230 are certified organic, 13 Food Districts, 32 Protection Consortia, 15 Regional Wine Shops and 6 Quality Wine and Food Routes.
